Long time, no post!

I have never forgotten about this blog, but it has been one of those things that gets pushed aside with everyday life and hopes of getting to it "tomorrow". Well I've been inspired to start back up with this blog and hopefully some of my fellow beauty girls can rely on it for some honest and helpful reviews and tips! Look for some new posts SOON. Thank you!

P.S. My New Years Resolution was to use up the makeup & beauty products I currently own, so while doing this it has made me take a good hard look at the products I use and the quality of each product. I'm excited to share with you some of my findings in this little "experiment"

Woo Hoo & Boo Hoo #2

WOO HOO!
Today I bring you some of my favorite foundations EVER. Christian Dior Beauty makes some amazing makeup products. I've loved everything I've ever tried from Dior Beauty, but their foundations are outstanding.

These foundations are rather pricey, but if you are looking for flawless coverage you will not be disappointed in these. I switch around my foundations so my skin doesn't get too used to anything, but these two are almost always my first picks.

First we have the Dior Airflash spray foundation. If you've never tried spray foundations before, don't be scared. They are very easy to use and leave you with perfect looking skin. I spray it directly on my face (forehead, chin and cheeks) and smooth it out with a foundation brush. You can use your fingers, a sponge, or anything else you like to apply foundation with and it will work great. The only thing is after you spray it on you need to work quickly because it dries pretty fast. It retails for about $60 in stores that sell Dior Beauty (I buy mine at Dillards or Macys). http://www.dior.com/beauty/gbr/en/make_up_and_cosmetics_by_christian_dior_lipstick_m/face/foundations/other-foundation/spray-foundation/py0769700.html

The liquid foundation is just as amazing, it goes on smoothly and is very easy to work with. It lasts ALL DAY. Your skin will look flawless and the rest of your makeup will lay beautifully on top of it. It retails for about $45. I highly recommend trying it. If you aren't sure for yourself just go to the Dior makeup counter and have the girls show you in person how amazing these foundations are. http://www.dior.com/beauty/gbr/en/makeup/face/foundations/fluid-foundation/extreme-wear-flawless-makeup-fps-25-spf/py0778600.html

Today's BOO HOO is Cover Girl Lash Blash Length Mascara. This mascara does NOTHING for my lashes, I have to pile it on to make it look like I have anything on. It's pretty dry consistency and that is never fun to work with. Even with a lot of coats on it definitely doesn't make my lashes look any longer. In fact I hate the way my lashes look with it on. I also don't like the applicator. Its Cover Girl so of course its affordable (around $5) but its not worth it to me. Maybe it works great for some people, but I was very disappointed.

See you next time!

Woo Hoo & Boo Hoo

I'm going to post one good product (Woo Hoo) and one bad product (Boo Hoo) in each blog post. Sometimes I might post a couple at a time, but I think this will work out best.

Lets get started with my first Woo Hoo!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion:
This product is amazing. It is used for when you have a blemish that you want to get rid of gently but quickly. It comes in a good sized glass bottle with a liquid on top and a pink lotion on the bottom. The number one tip I have for you is DON'T SHAKE THE BOTTLE. It says this on the packaging very clearly, but its important you don't shake it because it will ruin the formula and won't work on your skin correctly.
You just place a Q-Tip in the bottle, straight down into the pink stuff and get a small amount on the cotton. Take the Q-Tip and apply it on your blemish. You would probably do this at night so you can sleep with it on and let it do its magic overnight. You can't use this during the day (unless you are home not doing anything) because the lotion dries pink on your face. It washes off easy, and you should notice a fairly significant difference in the size and redness of your blemish. Use until your blemish is gone! This stuff is great, and a bottle will last you a LONG time. It sells for about $17 in stores like Ulta and Sephora, and of course on mariobadescu.com

Now for my first Boo Hoo!

Wet N Wild Eye Makeup Remover:

This stuff STINGS like if you were pouring straight alcohol into your eyes. It smells like a mixture of pure alcohol and bubbles. It does take your eye makeup off after a couple swipes with a cotton round, but its not worth it for all the stinging and redness that occurs. I tolerate most products pretty well, so I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin, but this stuff really gets to me. I bought it on a whim because it was reasonably priced (I think it was about $4), but I recommend to spend a few dollars more on another brand of eye makeup remover that won't hurt your eyes. Your eyes and the skin around them are so delicate and need to be cared for with kindness and good products.

I hate throwing things away without using them so I've been using this product to clean the makeup off the back of my hands when I play around with makeup and whatnot.

Hope this was helpful!

Welcome lovers of makeup and all things beauty!

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog! Since I'm such a beauty product freak, I figured I should start a blog to help out others in finding amazing products and to steer clear of not so amazing products.

I buy makeup and beauty products in all price ranges and stores. If I see something I think I will like or think will be useful to me, I buy it.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please let me know! I'm pretty new to the blogging stuff, so stick with me while I learn more and more.

Thanks!
